Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Colm Morrissey. I’m a Tramore man born and bred. I’m the proprioter of Colm Morrissey hair studio, 4 main street, Tramore, which will be celebrating 10 years in business in 2012.
I started my career in Avril’s Hair Salon, which was on Queen Street Tramore. I was still in school so I worked there part time until I completed my leaving cert. I then began my apprenticeship with Peter Mark, an experience that changed my life. The training was unbelieveable, the hours were long and hard and we were exposed to people from every walk of life. After my first year, I was nominated for the colour student of the year award, a precidious award. Which is decided by a high percent in a practical and theory exam. I Only got 99%!
In my second year of training, my boss asked me would I be interested in studying to become a Colour Specialist. I Jumped at the chance and jumped on the rapid express to Dublin for a couple of months only to return as The Youngest Colour Specialist in the country at 19 years old. My clientelle blossomed rapidly while I was still training to cut and style hair.
At the tender age of 21, (and a time when the banks were throwing money at us) I left to open my own salon on Main Street Tramore and I’m delighted to be able to say we are still there today.
For the last 5 years, I have worked on a part time basis for L’Oréal as an educator, having received my training in London, I now teach in L’Oréal Academy in Dublin and at seminars in Cork. With this wealth of information, education and experience, I will be bringing you all the latest styling tips, trends from the catwalk, how to achieve celebrity looks, which hair products will suit you best and answer any question you might have on www.colmmorrissey.ie or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a safe and stylish Christmas, and I look forward to sharing 2012 with you.
Happy New Hair!!!!!!
